Ok peeps, I'm starting to get a little frustrated and or pissed off at the constant criticism on some of my maps that I'm trying to improve for you as we go.

One night this week we played one of my maps (auriferous maybe?) and for about thirty minutes constant it was, "This map sucks, this map is shit." etc. etc..there was no specific comments about the map.

The criticism was constant to the point that The Punisher even started to say "Stop with the BS".

I have a thick skin and am just happy enough that you guys play my maps and that I have had the opportunity to fix and make them better for you.

However that being said, I want to shift some of the blame for the 'shitty maps' (as you say) from me to you peeps who want to bitch and complain about them. I'm here, you're here.

I'm here to make the maps better for you but if you don't put comments into the SEVERAL THREADS that I have got going on (map specific) there's not a lot that I can do for you. If you want the maps to change or have ideas on how to make any of the maps better for you, I'm open to suggestions.

If you just want to bitch and complain, go ahead but don't expect me to do anything about it. It's like complaining that the ice cream keeps melting in the freezer, instead of saying, the ice cream is melting all the time - can you build us a better door or freezer?

I have not been on the FITH sever in sometime, but I can see where you are going with this. I know that criticism is important but if people are going to bitch and give you no reason to fix it, it makes no sense. I myself don't mind what map we played I just like talking to people and hanging out with them.

In response to you, kill the bug. Are you certain it is FITH members complaining? The last few times I have been on, it is a bunch non-FITH, non-regulars. If it is just a bunch of plebs playing, take it in stride.

I'll start by saying I like the fact that you make new maps. One of the problems with an older game like TF2 is that it can get stale. Without folks doing what you do, we'd be stuck on a 24/7 Barnblitz/Badwater rotation. And the game would die. Thanks for bringing us some variety.

What I've learned is that some maps just rub people the wrong way. I love Wubwub. Some insane fucks do not. To each their own. For the people that don't like Wub, their suggestions on how to fix it would either (1) be to delete the map altogether, or (2) change it to such a degree that it would be unrecognizable. Such generalized bitching occurs on many maps - 2fort is a prime example. I suspect the same is true of those that you are complaining about - there's nothing you'd be able to do to please them.

At the end of the day, I'd like you to remember that your maps are only played because people vote for them. Hopefully you can appreciate those who vote for your maps more than you are discouraged by those who bitch about them.

I think you should straight-up ignore people who want to talk shit instead of giving any constructive criticism.

If they actually cared about improving the map quality (and their enjoyment), they'd give you constructive feedback. People who bitch just wanna bitch, not make anything better.

Pretty much this ^. I've commented on Nighthawk's Beerbowl so many times and it's astonishing how much he has gone through with the map.

Now that I'm beginning to play more regularly again, I'll definitely take a look at maps give some thoughts about it.

The people who truly don't care about your maps are the ones who don't reply or just leave nothing but spewing sewer junk.

The only thing I can think of from a few of your maps is that there are so many little things going on with alternate routes, and the crisis crossing of some of the pl tracks, that it can be easy to get lost or not be in the action for some time. I recall a few points on one of the desert style maps where you can see multiple arrows pointing in multiple directions, which adds to some of the confusion.

Some of the more common regular plug maps have 4-5 cp's on a 1 stage, and 2-3 on a multi stage. The idea is to get the timing for a full round in 15 minutes or less for a one stage without it being super chokey, or maybe a smidge longer on a multi stage.

That being said, props to you. I used to build maps for Tony hawks pro skater 3, and understand how difficult it can be at times. Like above, don't let the randos get to you. I'd love to try my hand myself at making a map, but it's a little steeper of a learning curve to want to accommodate the time with my other hobbies.

Also, fuck kill carts. Not really, they are humorous when it isn't me.
