Thanks. I use the "Share" feature that is built into the Nvidia Geforce Experience driver to record; it used to be called ShadowPlay. The newest version is a bit of a pain to set up, but it really works well once you have it going. It can do a lot more than what I use it for. Nighthawk said he uses Open Broadcaster Software (OBS Studio). I tried that, but it required more setup than the Nvidia program. I think AMD has a comparable utility for its cards, but it isn't as well regarded. I use Microsoft's Movie Maker to edit the mp4 files. MS is ending support for it, but it should work for a good, long time anyway.
I have that capability in software and hardware. Do you notice any lag while recording? I dialed your video up to HD and it looked great. I have some pro edit software to use too. We could really have some fun with this.
TEAM COMP DOESNT MATTER - Meta Misconceptions I couldnt agree more. This is why I have pubbing with randoms. someone selects a player someone else doesnt agree with, say Torb on offense, the team falls apart. In OUR group, you guys know I am going to put an ult gun on the point by 2:30. If I dont, ill switch. so much a part of this game isnt just knowing what your hero will and can do, but what the other heros will and can do to you. There is no hard and fast ruling to this. I believe I have a 64% win rate with Torb. Thats crazy high. But I also know, intimately, 4-5 other heros that I can switch to. Most important, specifically in QP or seasonals, have fun. Thats the heart of ANY game.
Overwatch WTF moments! To me, the gameplay is cool. The heros are fun. But its the replays, sounds and POTG stuff that make this game so entertaining. That and there is no badwater. As Roadhog, I got bounced high in the air. On the way up, I hooked a Reinhardt. I guess the tension from from the hook kicked in and as I began to fall Reinhardt shoots WAY HIGHER in the air than I even was. IT was epic. Definitely a WTF moment. But, each round, we all have these holy shit kinda moments.
No, I don't notice any lag at all. I usually record in 720p (1280x720) at 24 Mbps bitrate and bring it down to posting size from there; file size is about 200MB per minute. Since I have more drive space now, I will try upping to 1920x1080 and see how it goes.
