I have played through them and they are a re-imagining of the original rather than the fresh pain that the rest of Black Mesa is on Half-Life. The whole project is really worth playing through. Just make sure you set it to the public beta
Can you explain what it is exactly? I loved HL 1 and 2. Is it like a reboot of that? A remake? A different telling?
Black Mesa is a first-person shooter video game, developed and published by Crowbar Collective. It is a third-party remake of Half-Life in the Source game engine. Started in like 2011 they just finished. It is faithful to the original game up until the Zen chapters where it is a re-imagining. video is a good comparison of Zen but I would recommend playing and not spoiling yourself.
