Anybody interested in tabletop simulator? My brother picked it up recently and it seems there are free steam workshop mods for tons of popular games. He's been playing Catan. I've heard tons of good things about various board games but haven't played any because scheduling such things in real life is impossible. On a separate note, I've been trying to improve my chess game lately. I got an email about a Kickstarter e-chess board. This technology is pretty cool. Magnets... How do they work?
I bought tabletop simulator forever ago and have yet to use it. I would totally be down to give it a try.
I know some people in the discord have been looking to play tabletop so you might check there to find some other folk
There has been some indication that the chess kickstarter I referred to above (which went live yesterday) might be a scam. Statements have come out from a few of the chess sites it claims to work with, and they deny making a public API for it. In addition, some forums have suggested the video is stop motion photography, and they have zeroed in on a few seeming inconsistencies. I figure the steep price of the board would be enough to discourage most, but definitely proceed with caution.
