Survival server (1.17) For anyone interested in Minecraft I have a 1.17.1 Survival server set up. I've mentioned it a few times in Discord, so if you've seen it there it's the same server. Java Server address is yesrod.net:12345 Bedrock Server (via Geyser) address is yesrod.net:54321 For Geyser information see http://fith.co/index.php?threads/extremely-unofficial-fith-minecraft-server.2264/#post-13264 Plugins installed: Dynmap (https://yesrod.net/fith/) DynmapBannerMarkers - named banners will show up on the Dynmap Geyser, Floodgate - Bedrock compatibility OnePlayerSleep - self explanatory LuckPerms - permissions handling Silence Mobs - Put the name "Silence Me" on a Nametag to silence your mobs. Server config changes: - Zombies have a 100% percent chance to convert villagers to zombies Seed: [-8745988144771750256] Survival server (1.18) Java: yesrod.net:6969 Bedrock (Geyser): yesrod.net:9696 Map via Dynmap: http://yesrod.net/fith118/ Plugins installed: Dynmap (https://yesrod.net/fith/) DynmapBannerMarkers - named banners will show up on the Dynmap Geyser, Floodgate - Bedrock compatibility OnePlayerSleep - self explanatory LuckPerms - permissions handling Silence Mobs - Put the name "Silence Me" on a Nametag to silence your mobs. Creative server address is yesrod.net:8008 Please don't demolish or modify anyone else's structures; there's plenty of room to spread out. I don't have Geyser set up on the creative server, but that can change if needed. Plugins installed: Dynmap (https://yesrod.net/creative/) Suggestions If you have any comments or suggestions, leave them here or ping me in Discord.
Looks like it's just another Spigot plugin, the server is running Paper so that should be doable. I'll investigate next time the server is empty. Haven't used Geyser yet, but I've seen it before.
Well, I just installed Geyser, and it just worked with Bedrock from my computer. Gonna test from other clients (Switch, phone, etc.) then open it up if I don't see any issues.
@Thalass Geyser has been installed. Connect to yesrod.net:54321 with a Bedrock client (Switch, phone, XBox, PlayStation, Windows app, etc.) and you'll be prompted to log in again with your Java account (Mojang or Microsoft). KEEP IN MIND: - I have done very little testing other than "yeah you can connect" and getting killed by a zombie (that works). There may be major features that don't work including both crafting and mining (which would rather defeat the purpose). - GEYSER REQUIRES YOU TO LOG IN TO YOUR JAVA ACCOUNT INSIDE GEYSER ITSELF. I'm going off of the community endorsement of Geyser that it's safe and not a massive exercise in password harvesting but it does make you log in again with your Java credentials after logging in to the server. If you're not comfortable with this DON'T USE GEYSER. (There's a token based method for Microsoft accounts, but it only works if your Java account is linked to your Microsoft account, and they haven't started doing that yet.) - Geyser no longer requires you to log in again with your Java credentials. A plugin called Floodgate translates your Bedrock credentials for the server. If you end up with a Java account, or you have both accounts, see https://github.com/GeyserMC/Geyser/wiki/Floodgate#account-linking for instructions on linking the two accounts.
THE CONVERSION IS DONE - THE UNOFFICIAL FITH MINECRAFT SERVER IS NOW RUNNING 1.17.1 As discussed in http://fith.co/index.php?threads/minecraft-1-17-upgrade-poll.2283/, the map has been trimmed - everyone's outline chunks have been saved (as well as a few others that weren't marked, but we happened to notice). Chunks can be restored if something was missed, but THIS WILL REQUIRE ANOTHER DOWNTIME if that becomes necessary. Let me know if you see anything missing and I'll take care of it. Also, let me know if you see weirdness from plugins, etc. - some of the plugins are still beta.
