So you’re interested in taking part in a FITH pug? Well before you start there are a few things you need to know and things you need to install.

    Getting Started

1.) Please go download Mumble and install it.
    ....a. A link for the download site…
    ........i. www.mumble.com/mumble-download.php

....b. Log onto the FITH Mumble using these credentials
    ........i. IP:
    ........ii. Port: <default, leave blank>
    ........iii. Password: smart

....c. Configure your Mumble to work best for you

2.) Please go download Team Fortress 2 and install/update it.
....a. Go steam store or you library.

....b. Download Team Fortress 2 for free

....c. Launch Team Fortress 2 and connect to the FITH pug server
    ........i. IP:
    ........ii. Password: Busey

....d. Configure Team Fortress 2 to work best for you

....e. Download this map pack and extract it into your \steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\maps\ folder.[/url]

Now that everything is installed and working it’s time to start thinking.

    1) What class do you want to play?
....a. When picking a class or classes keep in mind you want to be good at the class but also you want to have fun. DON’T say you’ll ........play a class you hate or you’re really bad at it.

    2) What load-out do you want to try?
....a. Though this might shift once you’re on a team it’s still a good idea to think about what weapons you’re good with.
....b. It’s Ok to experiment with load-outs but don’t go crazy.

How does a FITH pug work?

    1) A FITH pug is a Competitive Team Fortress 2 Highlander match.

    ....a. Who can play?
    ........i. Anyone can play!

    ....b. How many people play?
    ........i. 18 people (2 of each class)

    ....c. What are Captains?
........i. Captains are the Players that get to pick the teams. (think dodgeball)

    ....d. Can I be Captain?
........i. Maybe! Captains will be picked by a FITH admin (FA/HR). This is to ensure the Captains know who good and won’t just pick ...........their friends.

....e. How do I get picked for a team?
........i. Launch Mumble and join the FITH mumble server. Once there join the “PUG Queuing Room” and wait for 18 people to join ...........with you
........ii. After the 2 Captains have been picked then the team picking will start.
........iii. There is really on way to influence your way onto a team. Just don’t be AFK

....f. I just got picked, now what do I do?
........i. Once you’ve been picked then go to the FITH mumble channel that represent your team (the color)
........ii. Launch Team Fortress 2 and join the FITH pug server and get on your team (the color)

....g. I didn't get into the FITH pug match, what do I do?
........i. Wait! There will be another match. Once the teams are picked and they go to their respective channels. Then go into the ...........“PUG Queuing Room” and just wait.

....h. Can I spectate the match?
    ........i. I don’t know, can you?

    Have FUN and LEARN!
This is editable! I know I forgot something or I misspelled something. I’m a Dev not and English Major
So please Admins feel free to edit and alter!

I would love to see this pick up more steam. It used to be pretty popular when it was going. We could start it back up once this season of Highlander is over.

I'd love to do this. I don't have the time to be on a regular Highlander team, but if we can get 18 people to do this from time to time it would be fantastic. And I don't use the word fantastic loosely.

    This is a great idea!

I'm sure we'll be able to get some going once the current season is over.
