TF2 needs an app

    Has anyone else seen this... Go to launch TF2, See the valve splash, Back to desktop "Opps looks like you need an app for this. Go to windows Store?"

    Im just confused.

    It's been happening for a few months, and I recall looking at a solutions page like this, and saying to my inner-IT-guy, screw it, I don't feel like reading all this, I'll just click the box closed. But it isn't just you.

    Note: That page is not how to fix it, just an example.

    EXACTLY this erks the hell out of me.... also closing the box closes TF2

    I haven't seen that problem myself, but from what I read it may be related to background recording/streaming software. Try turning off Twitch, Shadowplay, OBS, Windows Game Bar, or any other software you might have running for that purpose; then try TF2 again.

    I never had a problem running Shadowplay and my Windows Game Bar is enabled, but I never use it.

    So looks like an update and a reboot solved the problem. Thanks for the help
